Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the remake of one of the most beloved Disney video games, is about to make its comeback on Nintendo Switch. Announced during the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase in February, this game, initially released on Wii in 2010 and rated 16/20 on JV, will have a makeover for a new generation of players. Warren Spector, the original creator, expressed his satisfaction in a video on the THQ Nordic YouTube page. He also revealed the title's release date, scheduled for September 24not only on Nintendo Switch, but also on PC, Xbox Series X and PS5.
A magical adventure in the world of Wasteland
In this enchanting remake, players will take on the role of Mickey Mouse in the forgotten kingdom of Wasteland. Armed with paint and thinner, the mouse will have to shape his adventure and influence the destiny of this alternative world. Each magical brushstroke will be crucial to restore beauty and harmony, or to alter the environment and uncover hidden secrets. Players' choices will determine the outcome of this artistic odyssey. Mickey will meet various iconic characters, including Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney's first creation. He will have to collect virtual Disney pins, take on creative challenges and explore platforming levels inspired by animated films and short films.

Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, reimagined by Purple Lamp, benefits from improved control graphics, paying homage to the classic while adapting it to modern standards. The game introduces new movement abilities for Mickey, such as running, sledgehammering, and sprinting. As for the story, it will delight longtime fans and newcomers alike. In addition to the standard edition, a limited edition of 5,000 copies will be available, including the game, a 28 cm statuette, a key ring and a steelbook.
