Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a first-person shooter action adventure game. Here we play a Na’vi, originally from the planet Pandora, who will be captured by humans during his childhood to be raised as a soldier. After his release, he will have to reconnect with his original people by learning their customs, while preventing human invaders from plundering the planet’s resources.

When and where is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora released?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora releases December 7 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series (and Amazon Luna in countries eligible for the service). No PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version is planned.

Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora related to the Avatar movies?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is not a direct adaptation of the films, but the game does take place in the same universe. The plot was supervised by James Cameron and begins just after the film’s introduction Avatar: The Way of Water. It is not necessary to have seen the latter to understand the game.

Will we be able to come across characters and places from the films?

Even if Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is linked to the films by sharing the same universe, it intends to make us explore remote areas of Pandora, which have not yet been seen in the films, which means that there is little chance of meeting familiar faces , except in the case of small surprises.

What is the gameplay of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an FPS that asks us to explore Pandora while fighting the armed forces from Earth. It is therefore a classic shooter, with traditional firearms but also weapons from the inhabitants of Pandora, such as bladed weapons or bows. The particularity of the game is to make us play as a Na’vi, who is significantly larger and stronger than a human, which is why many enemies wear exoskeletons which must be destroyed.

By completing main and secondary quests, you will be able to obtain skill points to use to improve your character’s abilities according to 5 talent trees corresponding to different aspects of your development such as Hunter, Warrior or Survival, the latter of which can help you help increase endurance and resistance. Note that a complete crafting system will be present in the game, as will cooking. Using the materials collected on Pandora, it will be possible to create, modify and above all repair your equipment.

Can we create our own Na’vi?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora allows you to personalize your protagonist at the start of the adventure, to create a Na’vi who will be unique to you. Is it possible to play with a third-person camera in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

Ubisoft has chosen to make us see Pandora directly through the eyes of our Na’vi. Therefore, in most phases of the game, only the first-person camera is available. On the other hand, when you borrow mounts, the camera switches to third person.

Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora playable cooperatively?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is primarily a single-player game, but Ubisoft has confirmed that a two-player cooperative mode will be present in the game. Massive Entertainment has revealed that its cooperative mode will allow players to connect as they wish and take advantage of synchronization progressions. You will even be able to join another player’s mission, provided you are at the same stage in the game. Gold Edition
