Borderlands 3 (PS5/PS4)

Borderlands 3 continues Gearbox's successful shooter series and lets you once again shoot down loads of enemies and collect loot. Either alone or together. In any case, it's an entertaining shooter.

On Metacritic, the PS4 version of Borderlands has a rating of 78 points with a predominantly positive trend. The PS5 version has received five reviews 91 pointsall are positive.

“If you're expecting a great evolution of the series, you might be a little disappointed by Borderlands 3,” writes GameSpew. “But if you're looking forward to more of the same, albeit on a larger scale, there's a lot to love here. And on the new generation of consoles, Borderlands 3 shines better than ever. Playing at 60 frames per second and up to 4K resolution really makes a big difference.”

“Ultimately, Borderlands 3 is a mixed bag,” says Daily Star. “It's like a Christmas visit to the family. You get in the car and visit the same people you love and enjoy seeing, but it's still the same long drive and your dad tells the same old jokes.”

NHL24 (PS5/PS4)

The latest ice hockey game from Electronic Arts with the latest licenses and the usual annual innovations. Anyone who likes to sink a few pucks can have fun with it.

On Metacritic, NHL 24 in the PS5 version has a rating of 71 pointsthe majority of the reviews are average.

“NHL 24 is definitely a step back in the right direction,” says Digital Chumps. “The advancements in on-ice gameplay make it a worthwhile game no matter what. HUT and CHEL continue to evolve for the better and are a good way to encourage online play. While there are still some negatives, it's still worth the price of a ticket to play in the NHL and makes me excited for the future.”

PlayStation Universe says: “NHL 24 performs much better on the ice than last year's NHL 23, thanks in large part to the brand new Exhaust engine, which strikes a good balance between NHL 24 feeling like a hockey simulator and a fun arcade video game to play with friends. The lack of any changes to Be A Pro mode is once again disappointing, and HUT still tries to squeeze every dollar out of you, but it's an overall strong package for hockey fans.”

Among Us (PS5/PS4)

Who is the murderer? That's exactly what you have to find out in Among Us. And if it was you, you have to lay false trails and convince the others that you obviously had nothing to do with it!

The PS5 version of Among Us does not have an average rating on Metacritic because there are too few reviews. One of two reviews is positive, the other is average.

Finger Guns says: “Finally making its way to PlayStation, Among Us is still the best the social deduction genre has to offer. Thanks to some inventive workarounds to support controllers, this game loses little to nothing in the port compared to its home on phones and tablets. Even with a group of strangers, it's easy to have a great time with this game. With friends, Among Us really comes to life in one of the best multiplayer experiences out there as you try to stab your buddies in the back. Both figuratively and literally.”

“Not everything translates perfectly to the DualSense, as it's clearly designed for touchscreens or mouse and keyboard,” writes Push Square. “That's not a bad thing though, and once you find a good lobby with a friendly group, this is one of the better party games you'll find on PS5. It's just that finding said people can take a bit of time, so be aware that you're completely at the mercy of the community here unless you have a solid group of friends to play with.”
