Already in summer 2022, the publisher Wired Production released “Arcade Paradise” for the PS4 and PS5. As the company announced, we can look forward to an implementation for other virtual reality headsets soon.

We are talking about the two systems PlayStation VR2 and Steam VR, which will soon be available with “Arcade Paradise VR“. More precisely, on August 8, 2024. In keeping with this announcement, a fresh trailer is available for viewing, which we have embedded below these lines.
The VR version of “Arcade Paradise” includes all the content of the standard version and also offers extra content tailored to the VR headsets.
Run your own arcade
In “Arcade Paradise VR” we take on the role of a 19-year-old college dropout. His father, played by Doug Cockle, has given him the task of managing the day-to-day operations of the family laundromat, King Wash. A job that we do more or less poorly.
One day, however, we discover old arcade machines in the back rooms of the laundromat, which we believe promise a much more lucrative business. We quickly decide to run our own arcade. The focus here is on generating profits that will ensure the continued operation of the arcade.

“In Arcade Paradise, you have to manage the laundry and the arcade at the same time – and you have to play both sides to achieve maximum profits. It certainly won't be easy, but hopefully it will still be really good,” the developers continue.
But there is also plenty of fun to be had in “Arcade Paradise VR”. In addition to the 27 arcade games in the original, which you play in the traditional way with a controller, the VR version includes twelve games specially tailored to VR headsets.
Developers promise plenty of variety
“Arcade Paradise is a fully immersive simulation game with a wide range of gameplay, from completely gamified laundry to any of the 39 machines you can purchase in the game. Test your basketball skills by taking out the trash before trying your luck at the Basketball Blast cabinet,” the official description continues.
Each of the included machines offers its own gameplay, stories and missions – from complete RPG campaigns to beat'em ups and physical sports games. All inspired by three decades of gaming.
There are also international rankings on board where you can compare your performance and high scores with others.
