After the big announcement of its arrival on Netflix, Dandadan continues to create surprise by announcing a release date in cinemas for its episodes with new content.

The animated adaptation of the manga Dandadan has been getting a lot of attention lately. Yukinobu Tatsu's manga will be entitled to its anime which you will be able to find upon its release in fall 2024 on ADN, Crunchyroll and Netflix. The red N streaming platform has obtained the broadcast rights to the manga adaptation. Excellent news which will allow the title to enjoy very good visibility. Especially since fans of the manga will be able to discover the first three episodes with exclusive content in preview in our dark rooms. It will take place on September 7 and 8 in France, Belgium and Luxembourg and the feature film will be called Dandadan: First Encounter.

According to a press release from ADN, responsible for producing the French version of the manga adaptation, spectators will have the chance to discover an exclusive interview with the creators of the manga and anime. Yukinobu Tatsu, the manga's author, and its editor Shihei Lin will talk about the original work in its paper format. Fuga Yamashiro, the director of the animated series, and the seiyus (Japanese voice actors) Shion Wakayama and Natsuki Hanae will talk about the anime adaptation of the manga. The two actors lend their voices to the main characters of the manga: Momo Hayase and Ken Takakura.

Daily readers of Weekly Shonen Jump are familiar with Dandadan and know how much hype its anime adaptation will cause. Pre-published on the MANGA Plus application (Shueisha's online manga reading platform), the manga currently has 14 volumes in Japan. In France, it is published by Crunchyroll Manga and 12 volumes have been published since. Yukinobu Tatsu's work is a real success in Japan as well as in the West.
Dandadan tells us the story of Momo and Okarun, two teenagers who are completely opposites. If Momo comes from a family of mediums, Okarun is an undisputed fan of the occult. The two comrades cannot convince themselves of the respective existence of their beliefs. In order to find out which of the two is right, Momo goes to visit an abandoned hospital where legend has it that a UFO was seen there. Meanwhile, Okarun goes to discover a supposedly haunted tunnel. The two teenagers are not ready to believe the events that await them…
